A studio headshot session runs $150 to $400, and the AI tools that replaced it still charge $29 to $79 and make you wait. Poised costs nothing, needs one photo and takes about two seconds — so you can find out whether an AI headshot works for you before anyone asks for a card.

What the alternatives cost
Entry price for every tool we compare against, plus the photographer they all replaced. Poised is the only one that lets you finish a headshot and look at it before deciding whether to spend anything.
Pricing questions
Is Poised really free?
Yes. The studio — quality check, all eight style packs, unlimited generations and full-size downloads with no watermark — costs nothing and requires no account or card. There is no trial timer.
What is the catch?
There is no commercial catch — no card, no trial timer, no watermark, no locked downloads. The technical trade is that Poised generates from one photo rather than fine-tuning a private model on your face, which makes it seconds instead of hours and free instead of $29 to $79, and makes the likeness strong rather than forensic. Trained likeness and print-size output are what the Studio tier is being built for.
Are the Studio and Teams tiers available?
Not yet. They are listed so you can see where the product is going, and they are marked as in development everywhere they appear. Everything described as free is live today.
Will the free tier stay free?
That is the intent. The free studio is a real product rather than a countdown to a paywall — Studio and Teams add capability on top rather than switching off what you already use.
Do I keep the rights to my headshots?
Yes — full commercial rights to anything you generate, on the free tier included.
